About Bikelopedia
Bikelopedia is a reference encyclopedia for cyclists — covering mountain bikes, components, suspension theory, maintenance procedures, and more.
The goal is a single reliable place to look up torque specs, geometry numbers, suspension concepts, and bike terminology without digging through scattered forum posts and manufacturer PDFs.
Work in progress
This site is actively being built. Many pages are stubs with placeholder content — if you land on a TODO page, check back later. Content is added regularly.
Disclaimer
Information on Bikelopedia is provided for reference only. Always verify torque specs, service procedures, and safety-critical information against your manufacturer's official documentation before working on your bike. Bicycle maintenance involves risk — when in doubt, consult a qualified mechanic.
AI plays a role in the setup of this website; the goal is to have human entered data for anything beyond website structure. If you notice any inaccuracies please report them on the feedback tab, and I will work to fix them.
Sources
Content draws from manufacturer documentation, industry standards, and general cycling knowledge. Where possible, sources are linked directly in articles.
